PALAEONTOLOGICAL LINKS

The links below cover a broad cross-section of sites related to vertebrate palaeontology, ranging from the seriously academic to the seriously bizarre. Please inform Corwin Sullivan of any broken links, or of any interesting sites that aren't listed below.
General Interest
- Kuban's Paleo Place - Extensive collection of palaeontological information and links. The "Paleo Humor" page is a must.
- Paleo Ring - Large webring devoted to all aspects of palaeontology.
- Paleonet - A general palaeontology resource. The "Visions of the Past" section contains some nice art.
- Institute of Creation Research - For amusement only!
Professional Resources
Specific Vertebrate Groups
- The Dinosauricon - Taxonomic information on dinosaurs, and some nice art.
- Dinosauria On-Line - Includes the incredible "On-Line Journal of Dinosaur Paleontology".
- The Pterosaur Home Page - Impressive resource on all things pterosaurian. Lots of information, nice illustrations, and "anatomically correct" paper Pteranodon models for $1 (U.S., unfortunately) - who could ask for anything more?
Museums
- Hooper Virtual Natural History Museum - Information and illustrations covering a wide range of taxa and topics. Too bad it exists only in cyber-space!.
- Royal Tyrrell Museum - Includes a "virtual tour" of their impressive galleries.
- Fossil Land Mine - Covers fossils from the vicinity of Mine, Japan, ranging from Pleistocene elephants to "the oldest cockroach in Japan". Be sure to get to it before the arms-control activists do!
- Museum of Paleontology at Berkeley - Maybe a bit tricky to navigate, but contains extensive information on a variety of fossil vertebrates.
Palaeo People
- Hans-Dieter Sues - Fossil tetrapod researcher at the Royal Ontario Museum. Frequently collaborates with our research group.
- Stuart Sumida - Vertebrate palaeontologist at the University of California, San Bernardino. Website includes information on "Sue", the famous T. rex.
- Mark Wilson - Palaeoichthyologist at the University of Alberta.
- Akiko Shinya - Former student in our lab, now volunteering at the Royal Ontario Museum.
