INTRODUCTION.
BIO 409 is a
practical course in animal and plant physiology laboratory exercises. Students
will apply the theories learned in BIO 204 (Introduction to Physiology), BIO310 (Integrative Animal Physiology)
and BIO 304 (Physiology of Neural Systems) to lab exercises that
use living animal and plant tissues. This course is intended for students who
intend to enter a career in physiology or medicine and can
benefit from a hand-on approach to topics in physiology. This
course is also highly recommended for students who plan to do an
independent research project (BIO 481) as it will prepare them for
the laboratory hardware they will use for their research.
