Content of the Course The course consists of Chapters 1-8 of the book.
Class Policy Every week, I will post on the Web page of the course a list of the problems which should be handed in the following week. Typically, the exercises will from the textbook.

You should work on the assignment diligently. The only way to learn mathematics is doing mathematics, i.e., solving problems. Also, as you see below, your grade on the course depends heavily on the homework.

Note: Late homework will not be accepted.

There will be two exams: a midterm and a final. The date of the midterm is posted on the Web page of the course. The date of the final will be announced during the semester.
