U-Pass
What is a U-Pass?
A U-Pass is a student transit card allowing unlimited fare-free rides on MiWay, Mississauga Transit’s bus system. A U-Pass holder simply shows the MiWay driver her or his U-Pass card and T-card (UT student ID) when boarding.
U-Pass is available for summer 2013 and fall/winter 2013-14 academic terms to UTM undergraduate students, Mississauga Academy of Medicine undergraduate students, and UTM-affiliated graduate students. Please see the respective links for more information regarding eligibility criteria and U-Pass distribution.
Warning: Alteration, forging, transferring or sharing of a U-Pass card is not allowed, and abuse of the U-Pass is taken seriously by Mississauga Transit Enforcement, UTM, UTMSU, and UTMAGS. Abuse can result in significant fines/charges against abusers and prohibition from further participation in the U-Pass program.
Replacement of a damaged or lost card is available only under certain conditions, and typically requires a replacement fee – visit the office which originally issued your card for assistance.
When picking up your U-Pass, you must present your current, working T-card. If you’ve been issued more than one T-card during your time as a UT student, you must present your most recent T-card. If your T-card is not working or is damaged, please visit the Office of the Registrar for a replacement – note that a T-card replacement charge may apply.
There may be a 24- to 48-hour delay after any changes to your status before the U-Pass verification system recognizes your eligibility.
