Full Research Description:
My research primarily concerns the causes and consequences of urban social inequality in the urban regions of Canada and elsewhere. I am currently involved in a number of projects examining such things as: the causes of urban social segregation and inequality; the relationship between lifestyle, homeownership, urban form and political values; the implications of urban social segregation for voting behaviour and political attitudes; the politics of automobility and gentrification; the consequences of economic restructuring, development patterns, gentrification, and policy changes on the articulation of social inequality and homelessness in Canadian cities and suburbs.
