Book an Advising Appointment

If you would like to speak with an academic advisor, please visit the Office of the Registrar to sign-up for a walk-in appointment.

The Office of the Registrar is located in Room 2122, William G. Davis Building (old South Building).

It is open to the public between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. On Wednesday, it is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Students can book an appointment by using a computer terminal set up inside of the Office of the Registrar.

To do so, students swipe their TCards in the card reader and choose their reason for seeing a advisor from a list of options.

Then, students will be assigned a unique ID code (or alias). Please write it down.

Students will automatically be placed in a queue that will be displayed on a large screen monitor in the waiting area just outside of the Office of the Registrar. Students are asked to take a seat and monitor the position of their ID code.

When an advisor becomes available, a short chime will sound and an ID code will flash on the screen, along with the name and office number of the advisor assigned. Please proceed to his or her office.

Students should make an appointment with an advisor for the following situations:

  • Degree Check
  • Petition or Appeal
  • Adding/Dropping/Withdrawing Courses
  • Transfering to/from Other University
  • Program Entry Requirements
  • Grade/GPA Calculation
  • Other Academic-Related Topics
  • OSAP/Financial Aid
  • Tuition Fees

Unsure whether to see an academic or financial advisor?

Please consult first with a member of our front line team, who can often assist students with most routine matters, such as:

  • Picking up a document, such as an enrolment confirmation letter, or OSAP documents
  • Payments for online services
  • Reactivation of a student record
  • Modifying records information, such as a name change
  • General registration information

Need to cancel an appointment?

Please return to the sign-up computer, swipe the TCard in the reader, and select "cancel."
