Program Requirements

• A four year bachelor's degree in any area of biological sciences, chemistry or related fields.
• A minimum "mid-B" average or higher in the last two years of study. To be competitive, however, applicants should note that GPAs higher than the minimum may be, and typically are, required. 
• In order to provide applicants with every opportunity to present their best case for admission, the Admissions Committee will consider competitive GRE Subject Test scores if the academic average in the last two years of study is in the mid-B range. Note that the GRE is not required.
• Prospective students may be invited for an interview and if unable to attend arrangements can be made for teleconferencing.
• Students who have completed their studies outside Canada must submit scores for both a GRE Subject Test and English Proficiency scores (TOEFL, IELTS or equivalent). See our international student information for further details.
