After Applying

Check the online application system to ensure that your documents and references have been marked as received and your application is complete by the deadline.

The Admissions Committee will notify you in early February if you have been selected for an interview. If distance and/or expense prevents you from attending an interview in person, a telephone or Skype interview may be arranged.

Interviews are either full-morning (9 am to 1 pm) or full-afternoon (12 noon to 4 pm) and include a 30-minute Interpersonal Skills interview, a 30-minute Science interview and a 60-minute written test. There are two, occasionally three, interviewers present at each interview. The written test takes places in the MBiotech Boardroom, Room DV2071. The morning and afternoon interviewees will have an opportunity to ask questions of current MBiotech students over a light lunch and brief tour.

If you have been notified that you have been selected for an interview, please download the Interview Selection Sheet (instructions will be sent via email).

A total of 40 students will be accepted into the program in 2013. Decisions are based on the analysis and recommendation of the Admissions Committee.

If you receive an offer of admission...

If you are sent an offer of admission, you will have approximately two weeks from the date of the offer to submit a $2,000 CDN, non-refundable deposit to secure your place in the program.  While the fees are paid to Student Accounts along with a copy of the letter, note that the offer will state that a copy of the letter must also be sent to the Professional Graduate Program Centre (PGPC); this copy of the signed letter should be sent directly to the MBiotech Office:
