MBiotech Celebrates 10 Years of Success

On Thursday, June 7, 2012, the Master of Biotechnology Program at the University of Toronto Mississauga celebrated 10 years of successful graduates at a gala event on campus. This event brought together over 150 alumni from 2003-2011, along with dozens of current students, faculty, staff and industry partners.

Industry partnership awards were presented to Amgen Canada, AstraZeneca Canada, GlaxoSmithKline, Hoffman-LaRoche and Sanofi Pasteur for their ongoing and significant support of the MBiotech Program.

Special guests included: the Honourable Gary Goodyear, Minister of State for Science and Technology; Mayor Hazel McCallion; Dr. Ehud Ur, Therapeutics Review Panel, who presented the keynote; and Dr. Paul Horgen, the original Director of the MBiotech Program.
