The
Institute of Communication and Culture
(ICC) was founded at the University
of Toronto at Mississauga in 2003. The
ICC is an interdisciplinary research
and teaching Institute designed to address
questions of culture and communication
across the humanities, science and social
science disciplines. The Institute is
housed in the new CCT building, a state-of-the-art
facility that opened in September of
2004. It is currently home to four academic
units: the CCIT program; the Professional
Writing and Communication Program; the
Centre for Visual and Media Culture; Biomedical Communications; and the Blackwood
Gallery.
