Residence Services Desk

The Residence Services Desk is at the heart of the Department of Student Housing & Residence Life in Oscar Peterson Hall. This is the primary point of contact for housing - our friendly and knowledgeable Desk Staff can answer related questions, maintenance and caretaking concerns, and questions regarding programs and services offered by Residence Life. Other services we provide include:

Music Room:

Want to practice piano on our residence piano, or can’t find somewhere to set up your drum set?  Residence students can book the Residence Music Room located in Roy Ivor Hall by visiting the desk.

Mail Distribution & Courier Delivery (For Undergraduate Students Only):

All mail is distributed through mailboxes located in Oscar Peterson Hall. Unless you are living in Erindale Hall, your mailbox will be located on the first floor, behind the lobby. Each undergraduate unit will share a mailbox number with one other person and 1 mailbox key will be issued per student (at time of check‐ in). Please make sure mail is addressed correctly to ensure its delivery. Incorrect addresses may be ‘returned to sender’. Lost mail keys will be subject to a replacement charge of $25, as will keys not returned during check‐out.

Courier (Delivery Only)

Throughout the year you may require courier service.The Residence Services Desk will be happy to sign for packages, but takes no responsibility for misplaced or damaged packages. Should a package arrive at the Residence Services Desk, you will receive notification via a package slip placed in your mailbox, and you will be required to drop by with your T-Card and pick it up. Couriers will not have access to units in Erindale Hall, Roy Ivor Hall, and Oscar Peterson Hall, and will need to come to the Residence Services Desk for delivery. Please make sure that your name and mailbox number are written clearly on your package to ensure it is delivered correctly.

For Medical, Graduates and Students with Families, please see your housing contract/lease agreement with regards to mail delivery and mailing address.

*Please note all students move out of residence during the Winter Break, within 24 hours of your last exam, unless it is on the last day. Students may apply to stay over the holidays with approval through an application process.  This process will be posted in October.
