Residence Orientation

rezONE Orientation for First Year Students

rezONE Orientation is an EXCITING, HIGH-ENERGY and ESSENTIAL part of the first-year residence experience. It will give you a head start by introducing you to your residence community, acquainting you with the campus and the academic environment, and providing you with some of the essential skills for success during your first year.

During rezONE Orientation, you will have the opportunity to meet students with similar interests, students in your academic discipline, students living in your community, and faculty/staff of the university. From having lunch with a faculty member, to participating in a campus wide scavenger hunt, you can expect to feel knowledgeable and comfortable about your abilities and the services available to you. Oh, and we can’t forget… there are some great events, keynote speakers, activities, opportunities to learn from successful upper year students, and giveaways throughout the various orientation events.

If you are an international student who is new to Canada, or just wanting to make connections with other students studying from abroad, rezONE Orientation works closely with the International Centre (IC) to provide you with specific information to help make your transition as smooth as possible.

It all begins, move-in day, September 1, 2013 at 4pm. All new residence students at UofT Mississauga MUST attend all of the rezONE orientation. Failure to attend may result in cancellation of your residence contract. Detailed information will be sent via e-mail and online to all first year residence students in August. Please schedule your travel plans accordingly.

Orientation for Upper Year Students

Upper year move-in for returning, new upper year and transfer residents is on September 7, 2013. Our Residence Dons, rezPALs and Residence Council members will be working to create a welcome back for you during the first few days before school begins. All upper year students will be required to attend their mandatory first community meeting the evening of September 9, 2013. This is a great opportunity to get to know your new community, whether it is filled with old or new friends.

We will be in touch over the summer with more information on what else you can expect during our Upper Year Orientation.
