Waawaathe Northern Lights
An initiative that is designed to encourage engagement and allow students to experience first hand traditional First Nations cultures and teachings while relating directly with issues faced by Aboriginal peoples in Canada.
Events such as attending Fall Ceremonies, the Canadian Aboriginal Festival, Bi-Weekly Teaching Circles, and an Experiential Journey allow further exploration of the significance of cultural ceremonies and teachings in the Aboriginal community.
