Green Team

The Green Team at UTM Student Housing & Residence Life is focused on providing engagement with environmental concerns faced within our world, and those specifically that pertain to our residence communities. 

Programs such as providing Green Bins for our townhouse students, encouraging students to lower their temperatures, collecting ink cartridges/batteries, hydro consumption contests, and the “Trashion Show” (Trash Fashion Show) are designed to both lower costs and provide awareness for energy usage and waste levels.

If students are more aware of what they are using, and able to develop positive environmental habits while in the state of transition that University provides, the hope is that this will create lifelong positive changes for each individual and promote a healthier world.
