University of Toronto Mississauga Meal Plans are actually 2 plans in 1 consisting of Basic Food Dollars and Flex Dollars

BASIC FOOD DOLLARS

  • Used for the purchase of prepared food and beverages from most on-campus outlets
  • These purchases are HST exempt when applicable

 

FLEX DOLLARS

  • Used for convenience, confection, grocery items, vending (at select locations) and for making purchases with our select Off-Campus Partners
  • Purchases with Flex Dollars do not receive tax savings

 

Resident students are required to select a plan from one of the two following groups:

Group A Plans: Group B Plans:
These full meal plans are required for all first year students and for those students residing in Oscar Peterson Hall These partial meal plans are mandatory for all returning resident students with the exception of Graduate Students and Students with Families

It is important to note: 

  • Upper year resident students can select a Group A Plan if they wish; Graduate Students and Students with Families can select a plan from either Meal Plan Group if they wish
  • Resident Student Meal Plan holders enter into a contract with the University of Toronto Mississauga
  • You will be held accountable for the terms and conditions outlined on the Food Services website


The amount of time you spend on campus and your personal eating habits are important criteria in choosing the right plan.

  • You choose how you spend your Basic and Flex Dollars
  • You may opt to purchase a meal a day or you may opt to spend it differently...it is completely up to you
  • In general, students with hearty appetites and those who enjoy frequent snacks should consider the Group A Plus Plan
  • You will receive ALL your FOOD DOLLARS for both semesters on Residence Move-In Day
