Kus, Karen

Karen Kus teaches the Women and Gender Studies Practicum course in the Women and Gender Studies program with the department of Historical Studies at UTM. She obtained her M.Ed. in Adult Education and Community Development at Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), University of Toronto.  In 2012 she received the Teachers Assistant of the Year Award from the UTM Historical Studies department.  She holds an Honours BA in humanities from UTM. Her teaching and research interests focus primarily on women and social change: theory and practice, experiential learning, feminist research, women and popular culture, women in families and gendered violence.
