Learn to Run Clinic

This 9 week learn-to-run program offers participants a great strategy for promoting wellbeing while connecting with a supportive group of trained staff, volunteers from the UTM community, and fellow students.  The group meets twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00pm to 5:00pm for a group run. There are also brief running-related workshops that participants may choose to attend.

Beginning September 19th, 2011, the running group will meet twice a week for a group run. Optional running-related workshops will also be offered to participants in the program.  No running experience is necessary.  We will be following a learn-to-run technique which builds running confidence using intervals of running and walking.  By setting small, achievable goals you will begin to see yourself achieving great success in your running.

To end the 9 week program and to celebrate your success, the Learn To Run Clinic will participate in a 5 kilometer community run for charity.  This fall we have chosen to run the Hanukkah Hustle taking place in Hamilton on Sunday November 20, 2011.
