Supplementary Health Insurance

All students are covered by supplementary health and dental insurance plans to help cover medical expenses, such as prescription drugs, not covered by provincial health care (e.g., OHIP) or by UHIP.  All students automatically receive this medical and dental insurance coverage through your student union. 

The cost of this plan is included with your tuition and incidental fees.  Students that can demonstrate that they receive similar coverage from another source (e.g., coverage under another family members health plan) may opt out of this plan during the appropriate period and be refunded the cost.  All students can access the services of the Health & Counselling Centre regardless of whether they opt out of the service or not.
