Just writing about how I think the carpooling program is working for me. Me and my friend had made it so that we have the exact same schedule during our first year here at UTM, so thanks to this carpooling program, we have both a) saved a lot of money for the parking permit and b) saved money on gas. I think it is a lot better this way, because then there are a few less cars on the road and in our parking lots, and therefore less fuel emissions are getting into our breathing air! I used to think that it didn't really matter if only one or two people were doing this and thinking this way, but now once in University, you realise that there are a lot of other people who are in this carpooling program. You can think of it as a benefit both financially and environmentally, since, we are saving money and helping to keep the environment and air a little cleaner.

I definitely give two thumbs up to carpooling, and I am planning to continue carpooling next year. Also, it saves you a lot of time and hassle for parking spots, since they are really hard to find, unless you have a reserved spot (but even the carpool is like a reserved spot, so its really good!!) Fortunately, we have not encountered any troubles of full lots, so far..(or yet..) this semester, and I hope it stays that way. I think that students should consider this program, especially if you know some people who have the same classes as you, and therefore driving to school together can save time and money, and also that two or three people are only taking one car to school instead of 3. Or I think that even taking the bus or other means of transportation, where you are not driving by yourself will also help keep our environment a little greener and cleaner!

Car-Pooling Cuts All Your Worries In Half!

I only paid half the price of a regular parking pass and have an up front reserved spot. My gas cost has been cut in half, and the time I spend behind the wheel driving through the clustered traffic to and from UTM has also been cut in half. As you can see with carpooling the benefits are immense and at the same time I am doing my part in keeping the environment clean.

The carpool program has been really good. My friend and I drive to UTM together, and back home as well. This way, we save a lot of money, and wear and tear on our cars, as well as saving the environment. I think the best thing with the carpooling program though is the closer parking spots. I never have to look for a spot, I always just go to the beginning of the lot, and there is always a spot there for me.

I find that the carpooling program is a great idea, I have less stress driving to school because I don't have to drive everyday, also it's great to have company when you're driving. The low price is really attractive and there are always parking spots available, and not to mention the parking spots are closer to the school. Carpooling also helps conserve gas, which is great because gas prices are high. Hopefully more people will consider carpooling because it will save the frustration of having to find a parking spot and it will reduce traffic coming onto the campus.

I received your note on my car at school asking for a few words on how the carpooling program is working for me and what I enjoy about it. My best friend and I have the same schedule and it is such a great thing to be able to take turns driving to and from UTM, and also to have somebody with you while you're driving. We got to save a lot of money, love having reserved parking spots, and get to help the environment too.

as for the carpool parking:
It's working very well for me! And, there was barely any inconvenience, we just have a set time where we meet up for everyday of the week. I don't have to put up with the headache of driving everyday, I save gas, I save on my parking permit, I save my car from excessive wear and best of all, I SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT!! Now that's saving.

This is probably the best decision I ever made, not only do I get to avoid the hassle of trying to find a parking spot, but I get to save on gas and help keep this campus green. At first I thought it would be a hassle to have to wait around for the people I carpooled with, but the extra time spent at school gave me time to get a lot of stuff done.

Overall it is a great program, I was really unhappy when we got rid of all the trees out front so any little bit I can do to help keep us green is great.

Just wanted to voice my opinion of the amazing carpooling program here at Erindale campus. The carpool program is really saving me a lot of time looking for parking spots. I usually drive into school at the turn of the hour and have no time to find a spot, but I haven't been late for class since I started parking in the carpool reserved spots. It's an awesome sight to drive into school at 10:00am to find that there are empty spots available for you right at the front of the parking lot. Thanks a lot for implementing this program; it has totally changed my mornings.
