UTM hosts the Centre for Emerging Energy Technologies, which is dedicated to the demonstration, application, and evaluation of a wide range of new energy technologies. Projects that have been installed on campus include photovolatic (solar electric) panels; a microturbine system (a highly efficient cogeneration system); and fuel cells.
