FSC481Y Application Process

Students are encouraged to take (prior to their application if possible):

  • A standard First Aid Course (highly recommended)
  • WHMIS Workplace Safety Course (required)
  • Gun Handling/Gun Safety Course (required if your placement might involve weapons handling or ballistics research)

Students should ensure that they have one free day throughout the year in their timetable for their placement. Please note that placement cannot be guaranteed in any area. Placements are largely dependent on the availability of Mentors and matching-up of timetables, as well as other factors.

Deadline: November 21, 2011 for entry into the 2012 - 2013 Intership Course

Students who fulfill the prerequisites for the Forensic Science Internship will be contacted by email in early November of the year preceding their placement. Students must have a valid UTM email address (not Hotmail). Students also need to update all of their information, including their email address on ROSI. Students will be advised to complete an application form and provide a standardized CV. These forms will be emailed to students.
