Students nominated for Credit Valley Conseration award
Two of our UTM Environment students, Angie Sanchez and Tooba Shakeel, and the Campus Roots organization are to being nominated for a ‘Friends of the Credit’ Conservation Award for their hard work in the Credit River watershed.
Credit Valley Conservation is hosting a recognition event – the annual ‘Friends of the Credit’ Conservation Awards Dinner on Thursday, March 25th, 2010. The event will be held at BraeBen Colf Course, in Mississauga (5700 Terry Fox Way). The Conservation Awards ceremony will begin at 6:30pm, with Damian MacSeain’s address “Life Lessons From The North” on his experience in living in a northern First Nations community. Following that, a delicious dinner will be provided, and the Conservation Awards will be presented on behalf of Credit Valley Conservation’s Board of Directors. The doors and cash bar will open at 6:00pm. Hors d’oeurves will also be available.
