Biography

Professor Migone teaches undergraduate courses in the Art History Program as well as in Visual Culture & Communication (VCC) Specialist Program. He joined the faculty in 2008, having previously taught in the graduate program at Concordia University, Montréal; at New York University in the Department of Performance Studies, the Expository Writing Program and the Department of Drama; and at the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design in the Studio Program.

Professor Migone also serves as the Director/Curator of the Blackwood Gallery. As curator, he has curated over 12 exhibitions and projects for the Blackwood Gallery. He was selected as the curator for the 2010 edition of Toronto's Nuit Blanche presenting the project Should I Stay or Should I Go featuring ten major commissions.

As an artist, Professor Migone has performed and exhibited internationally, including Mercer Union (Toronto), Optica (Montreal), Ménagerie de Verre (Paris), Resonance FM (London), SFX 2007 (Seoul), kaaistudios (Brussels), Mutek (Montreal), On the Air (Innsbruck), CCS Bard, Banff Center for the Arts, Rotterdam Film Festival, Victoriaville Festival, Kill Your Timid Notion (Dundee), Whitney Biennial (New York). A monograph on his work, Christof Migone - Sound Voice Perform, was published in 2005. In 2006, the Galerie de l’UQAM in Montreal presented a mid-career survey of his work accompanied by a catalog and a DVD entitled Christof Migone - Trou
