Premier Wynne Visits UTM Chemistry Undergrad Teaching Lab

As part of the UTM campus tour, Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne visited CPS first year Chemistry undergrad teaching lab and participated in a lab demonstration led by teaching assistant George Li.

Congratulations to Emeritus Professor John Percy!

John Percy has been elected a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC).  The RASC traces its roots to 1868, and it has played a significant role in astronomy since then, both in Canada and abroad. John has filled a variety of leadership roles within the RASC since 1965, and is currently RASC Honorary President. 

 

PhD Candidate Masood Samim (Physics) wins 2nd place at the 2014 University of Toronto Most Understandable Scientist competition

CPS Scientist, Dr. Kent Moore, Professor - Physics, in the Department of Chemical and Physical Sciences, UTM,  as part of the Stantec Team, selected to lead major marine Arctic ecosystem study. This team will lead a long-term scientific study of the Arctic marine ecosystem along the Beaufort Sea shelf from Barrow, Alaska to the Mackenzie River delta in Canadian waters.
