Program timelines for the February 2013 program (week of February 19-22)

Please note that all deadlines are firm. Failure to meet a program deadline could result in automatic withdrawal from the program.

October 29, 2012
Deadline to submit Extern Registration Form online, and complete Pre-Program Survey.

October/November 2012
Interested students then sign up for and attend a mandatory Program Orientation. The orientations will take place at the UTM campus on:

Extern Placements posted on the Career Centre website for program registrants.

November 30, 2012
Deadline to submit applications for placements.

December 12-13, 2012
Applications screened by Extern Committee.

December 18, 2012
Successful applicants notified by email.

Jan 18-24, 2012
First time participants attend the mandatory "Maximize your Extern Job Shadowing Program Experience" seminar.  Dates for the February session are:

Participants confirm placement details with their hosts.

Extern Job Shadowing Program Week.

Participants send thank-you letter to their hosts.

Deadline to submit a written reflection or meet with a counsellor

March 15, 2013
Deadline to submit program feedback forms.

Interested students attend a mandatory Program Orientation session. The orientations will take place at the U of T Mississauga campus in Feb/March. Please see our Events Calendar on our website in the winter 2011 session for dates.

Note: Students who participated in the program in 2011 or 2012 will not need to attend an orientation session. Please Register for the Extern Program an fill out a Pre-Program Survey.
