How to get experience
Start early by seeking relevant summer, part-time and volunteer opportunities that will help you gain experience and develop the skills that employers want. - Career Edge – A non-profit organization that has helped about 7,000 new graduates launch their careers with over 1,000 organizations including GE Canada, Bell Canada, etc.

Work-Study Program

Extern Job Shadowing Program
Explore a career by visiting with professionals in the workplace. Extern participants have the opportunity to shadow their sponsor and other staff members in their daily work activities; tour the sponsor's establishment and facilities; meet with staff to discuss the career and industry. Choose your focus: Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations or any other area of interest!

All About Branding
A site dedicated to examining the nature of branding and the issues encountered in managing and shaping brands. In addition to a wide range of articles, the website includes a "Brand Assessment Questionnaire" that allows you to compare your responses to 30 questions related to branding with the responses of others that have taken the online quiz. -
Brand Channel
With the goal of promoting increased awareness of brands and branding, the site offers a variety of tools and information including global listings for conferences, courses and careers, book reviews, white papers, and links to industry resources. There is also a "brand debate" section of the website that allows you to view comments on brand-related issues and volunteer your own opinions.
