Doors Open
The 9th annual Doors Open Mississauga event will highlight unique architectural, cultural and heritage buildings. U of T Mississauga invites the public to view three of its award-winning buildings -- the Instructional Centre, Hazel McCallion Academic Learning Centre, and Communication, Culture and Technology building – as well as its Blackwood Galley at this free event.
Guided tours will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., starting in the Instructional Centre.
**Parking is free in Lot 9.

Instructional Centre - University of Toronto Mississauga
This $70-million three-storey centre includes a full range of state-of-the-art classrooms that range in size from 30 to 500 seats, dedicated study space and a 24/7 computer lab. Students have access to flexible e-connected spaces that link them to global communities, and interactive learning tools so that they can actively participate in their education.

Hazel McCallion Academic Learning Centre - University of Toronto Mississauga
The Hazel McCallion Academic Learning Centre – a $34-million four-storey library and information complex – focuses on space for people over collections and offers a mix of learning environments, including large and small study rooms, comfortable lounge chairs and computer workstations. It features a fully digital environment with its entire print collection on compact movable shelving.

Communication, Culture and Technology Building - University of Toronto Mississauga
The four-storey $34-million Communication, Culture and Technology Building features a multimedia studio theatre and editing suites, interactive computer classrooms and labs, a 500-seat lecture theatre, an auditory research facility and an e-gallery for electronic art exhibits. The building houses the Human Communication Lab and the Institute of Communication, Culture and Information Technology.

Blackwood Gallery
The Blackwood Gallery is a public not-for-profit contemporary art gallery affiliated with the University of Toronto, located on the Mississauga campus and part of the Department of Visual Studies. The gallery seeks to be a catalyst for current debates, a laboratory for contemporary artistic and curatorial experiments and to engage the intellect as well as the senses.
