We will be using blackboard this year to distribute information and files for this course. Using blackboard you will be able to download all laboratories, lectures, etc. We will also be using this site to give you laboratory quizzes. Please take a little time to familiarize yourself with this site and also check back often to keep up-to-date with the information as it is being added.

Course Description
This is an introductory course in animal and plant physiology, i.e. looking at how animals and plants function to be able to survive and succeed in nature. You will learn throughout this course that the principles of physiology are universal, no matter what particular organism is being studied. Topics covered include: elementary biochemistry, nutrition, digestion, translocation and circulation, respiration, photosynthesis, hormones, muscles and nerves. Physiological principles and mechanisms are developed in lectures and laboratories.
